Technical Support Engineer, Central and Eastern Europe
Role
Our client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer for Central and Eastern Europe region, who will be reporting to the General Manager. The position will be located in Prague, nevertheless will require traveling across the region.
The person will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, acting as a key technical advisor and product evangelist. The person must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process and after sales care.
The position will be responsible for:

Suitable product identification, evaluation and solution design, in line with customer requirements and technical capabilities, and participation on its presentation to the potential customers, supporting Sales Manager in technical matters

Pilot installation projects management; interact with customers and other team members to assure smooth and accurate pilot installation delivery to support the sales effort to gain the customers

Leading presentations and demonstrations of the firms technical value propositions to potential customers and partners

Continuous improvement and refinement of pre-sales and installation process

Proactive knowledge sharer role; technical guidance and support of other team members to avoid problems before they occur

Providing on-site support for existing customer implementations and troubleshooting as required by SLA and QoS; become main point of contact for clients technical issues.
Profile
-
Advanced knowledge of DVB-T/C/S, MPEG-2/MPEG-4, IPTV, multicast and general TV reception; understanding of TV-distribution in broadcast and broadband networks

Knowledge of general techniques for streaming digital content

Project management experience, preferably on international level

At least 3 years of experience as a technical customer support

Linux and Windows environments customization knowledge; knowledge of PHP, Perl and Shell programming

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; proactive and customer oriented

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; Master or equivalent work experience is an advantage

Fluently spoken and written English

Advanced MS Office user.
