Solution Architecture Lead

Role

Our client is an international IT company, which provides payment solutions to clients round the globe. It has well established presence in Europe and North America and working long-term relationship with card issuers, acquirers, banks or retail chains. Our client is continuously working on new products and solutions.

Recently, it extended partnership with one of the card issuers, which gives them an opportunity to reach new markets in Europe and Middle East. It will require additional efforts in solution architecture, including strategy, tools, people sources or co-ordination of co-operation with other departments. The client has decided to open new position and we are searching for a Solution Architecture Lead, who will provide thought leadership, innovation and detailed solution design and lead team of solution architects and business analyst. One of the objectives is also hiring of new colleagues. The role is client facing with expectation of proactive person, who is willing to travel and meet customers in person (when allowed).

Job details:

Recommend and participate in the analysis, evaluation and development of company long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the Solution Architecture objectives are consistent with the companys long-term business objectives
Lead solution architecture design, define standards and principles, to include the technical infrastructure requirements, application development or customisation requirements, system integration aspects including the integration of external systems and integration into IT environments
Proactively liaise with sales leads to ensure a complete understanding of the client requirements and business issues to be addressed by any sales proposals involving product and/or service delivery
Be responsible that a solution is well engineered, operable, maintainable, delivered on schedule and aligns well with company vision
Manage relations with software architects, developers, project and product managers and operational within prospect organisations
You will share your expertise by best practices, lessons learned and constantly updating the architecture based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming products and solutions
Support Sales and by vetting early-stage client requests, supporting Requests for Proposals, and presenting Detail technology to clients as appropriate, to actively participate in workshops and communicates with the customer
Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design

Profile

At least 5 years experience in solutions architecture gained in a commercial environment
Demonstrable knowledge of either detailed infrastructure design or software solutions design and relevant architectural techniques
Experience in a customer facing role, communicating technology issues and alternatives
Ability to lead and motivate international teams
Ability to understand and clearly articulate current and future technology platforms and their benefits
Ability to communicate technical concepts to mixed audiences
Payments industry experience is welcomed, compliance and security experience are beneficial
Flexibility, willingness and strong ability to learn
Advanced English language skills, both verbal and written
