Category Buying Manager
Role
Our client is an international retail chain, which launched the market in the Czech Republic in 1996. The company is operating more than 100 hypermarkets and supermarkets and 7 business centers.
The company is searching for candidates for the position Category Buying Manager. He/she will be responsible to achieve the targets of relevant category and the delivery of the business plans. He/she will be responsible to manage team of buyers and participate in negotiations of the contracts and business plans with FMCG suppliers and taking control of the assortment.
He/she will fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Strategic planning and development of the category (meat, fish, poultry and frozen)
- Managing and defining of the annual negotiations and contracts with suppliers
- Ensure regular reports and analysis of responsible category for top management
- Planning of promotion activities in co-operation with other teams / departments
- Responsibility for achievement of business targets of a relevant category
- Regular evaluation of the strategy and its results and propose the potential improvement
- Managing and development of the team with 5 subordinates (3 senior and 2 junior).
Profile
- University degree
- Relevant experience on buying position in retail
- Experience in international company and team leadership experience
- Excellent organization and communication skills and strong analytical thinking
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (mainly MS Excel)
- Determination to succeed in difficult situations
- Fluent English.
