Role
Our client is an international retail chain, which launched the market in the Czech Republic in 1996. The company is operating more than 100 hypermarkets and supermarkets and 7 business centers.
The company is searching for candidates for the position of Buyer for its Buying Department. He/she will be responsible to reach sales and margin targets to support the delivery of the business plans. He/she will be negotiating the contracts and business plans with FMCG suppliers and taking control of the assortment.
He/she will fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Review assigned assortment to make changes to the offer, depending on sales and profit performance,
- Identify opportunities to exceed the sales and margin targets for assigned assortment, to sign-off ranges which excite and attract customers,
- Leverage existing suppliers and to find new sources and opportunities,
- Monitor and analyze the costs continually to deliver financial indicators and achieve company price strategy,
- Lead complex negotiations with suppliers,
- Review effectiveness of product exit plans and challenges for improvements,
- Evaluate the stock and take appropriate measures.
Profile
- 3+ years of experience on buying position in retail and/or in sales marketing in FMCG,
- Strong negotiations skills proven in communication with clients and partners,
- FMCG/retail market overview,
- Analytical mindset, solid quantitative skills,
- Drive and resilience,
- Determination to succeed in difficult situations,
- Communicative English.
